The sixth reactor of the world's largest nuclear power plant Kashiwazaki-Kariwa cannot produce and transmit electricity due to a problem. The launch was postponed again report RIA Novosti consulted with Japanese media.
Initially, they wanted to start the reactor in January, but due to technical problems they could only do this on February 9. According to the plan, on February 15, the reactor will start generating electricity in test mode. However, on Saturday it turned out that the neutron change device was broken. So, the start-up of the nuclear power plant was again announced – “at least half a day”.
According to the plan, the reactor will begin operating on a commercial scale on March 18. It is still unknown whether the nuclear power plant management will adjust this deadline or not.
The Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear power plant was closed after the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant accident.
