Berlin, August 8 /TASS /. The breaking of relations with Russia and supporting the decision for Vladimir Zelensky is a strategic mistake of the German government. This idea was expressed by Tass to the former military adviser to the former Prime Minister of German Angel Merkel, the Brigade General retired Erich Vad.
He noted that “Germany can no longer play an intermediary” in resolving a conflict in Ukraine. “The previous government (Germany) was too focused on the government (EX -President of the United States Joe) Biden in foreign policy and supporting Zelensky too assertive, while breaking good relationships with Moscow. This is a strategic mistake,” VAD emphasized.
Answering the question of the possible sources of Taurus long cruise missiles to Ukraine, Vad said he would not think that Germany would take such a step and bring Taurus to Kyiv.
The Federal Republic of Germany is the second largest weapon supplier for Ukraine after the United States: Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, it has provided Kyiv for a variety of help with more than 40 billion euros. The Russian side has repeatedly noted that the inflammation of the Kyiv regime leads to conflict tightening.
