The legendary Russian Bolshoi Theater will go on stage for the first time in Istanbul with two ballet shows.
One of the most respected ballet communities in the world, the legendary Russian Bolshoi Theater first went on stage in Istanbul in history. Within the scope of this special tour, it will take place at Atatürk Cultural Center on September 263030, 2025, two classical masterpieces will meet the audience: Romeo and Juliet and Swan Lake. Both ball balls will accompany the Bolshoi theater orchestra under the direction of Anton Grish. The tour is organized by the art production company and is deployed as part of the Turkish Road Road Festival.
These timeless works will be staged by Bolşoy dancers, which have established a throne in the hearts of the audience for generations. Romeo and Juliet, who were first staged in 1940, became lively with the dance of Leonid Lavrovski, inspired by the music of Serge Prokofyev's music and Verona chronic, medieval love stories and historic dance traditions.

History of the Bolshoi Theater The origin of the Russian Bolshoi Theater lasted until 1776. Don Quixote, one of the most important products of the theater, was organized by Marius Petipa in 1869 and became one of the symbols of Moscow Ballet. During the Soviet Union, especially after Moscow became the capital, Bolshoi rose to the main theater of the country and gathered the most talented artists. The golden age of the Soviet ballet was called Leonid Lavrovski and Yuri Grigorovic. Makhar Vasiev, who has been the arts director of the ball community since 2016, previously undertaken the same task in Mariinski Ballet and La Scala. At the end of 2023, the theater's management board moved to Valery Gergiev, an elite orchestra director. Under his leadership, Bolshoi continues to provide great opera, ballets and symphony concerts.
