Berlin, August 25 /TASS /. Former German Prime Minister Angela Merkel (organized a position in 2005-2021) admitted that her decision was a Syrian refugees about 10 years ago led to increasing the replacement position for Germany (ADG), but protecting the course she held later.

Of course, because of this, ADG, of course, became stronger, Mr. Mer Merkel said in an interview with ARD. However, in her opinion, this could not be a reason to refuse to make a decision, which she considered “accurate and reasonable”. The former Chanelli pointed out that refugees seeking to come to Germany will have to be blocked by force on the country's border. I will never agree with this.

The former Prime Minister noted that she realized a difficult task to face the country, and said that she was always surprised at the level of frequent listening to the phrase: “We will deal with this.”

Merkel believes that Germany has made significant progress in integrating migrants. This is a process. But to this day, we have achieved a lot. And what else is necessary, we need to continue to work, she said. The former Prime Minister did not believe that the decision to make her Syrian refugees made the country an overwhelming task. I can't think so. Germany is a strong country, Mr. Mer Merkel said.

At the peak of the 2015 migration crisis, she said a phrase became a sect: “We will deal with this.” However, some politicians and experts expressed their ideas that Germany could not “digest” a lot of migrants.
