Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan praised Dwayne Johnson's performance in the new film The Smashing Machine.
Christopher Nolan, who is famous for applying contemporary techniques and time concepts in his films, and who won an Oscar for Oppenheimer, spoke about Dwayne Johnson, who plays the lead role in the movie The Smashing Machine.
Speaking on Directors Guild podcast The Director's Cut, Nolan heaped praise on Johnson in an interview with The Smashing Machine director Benny Safdie.
Calling the famous actor's performance heartbreaking, the master director said: “I think it was an incredible performance. I don't think you will see a better performance not only this year but other years.”
The film Smashing Machine follows the ups and downs of former MMA fighter Mark Kerr and his struggle with addiction.
