“We will wait patiently”
On the other hand, regarding Ürek's health condition, his doctor, Cardiology Specialist Professor Dr. Mehmet Vefik Yazıcıoğlu also made a statement.
Yazıcıoğlu said that the famous artist has no life-threatening risk in terms of heart and rhythm, “We will wait patiently during that waiting period for brain functions to be restored.”
Professor Dr. Yazıcıoğlu said, “Fatih Ürek Bey came to our hospital at 11:15. He had a story like this before and he was sick at home. They called ambulance 112 thinking he had a heart attack. After 112 arrived, the heart stopped beating. There was timely intervention and massage. He received heart massage, which they I call it CPR, and this process lasts 20 minutes long. After 20 minutes, they brought him to us urgently. Upon arrival at our hospital, he was intubated. His heart was in rhythm. His blood pressure is almost normal. Because he had a heart attack, we immediately took him to the cath lab and tried to clear his blocked artery. He had a blockage in one of his veins and had stent surgery 2 years ago. We thought maybe he was Stop taking blood thinners. Stent occlusion is a more serious event that we encounter. We completely removed the blood clot there and opened the vein. This is about the heart: “He has no problem now. Now his blood pressure and heart rate are normal,” he said.
“I CAN SAY THIS PROCESS IS NOT SURE”
Stating that he had doubts about whether the brain was deprived of oxygen, Yazıcıoğlu continued: “We are putting him to sleep. Maybe we will. We hope that he will continue his life without any problems when we wake him up. I can say that this process related to the brain is uncertain.”
Answering the journalist's question: “Do you suspect the risk of stroke?”, Yazıcıoğlu said: “In general, when the heart stops beating, if a long time passes, some problems may occur in the brain after 3 minutes. Even though this period is 20 minutes, if massaged well, the brain can be fully supplied with oxygen and can wake up without any problems. We hope to see him without problems. What, this is hy our hope.”
