A significantly slimmer Joe Biden appeared in public last Saturday, October 18 – for the first time since news broke of the radiotherapy prescribed to the former US President as part of the fight against cancer.

Biden arrives for evening Mass at St. Joseph, where he frequented for decades.
The 82-year-old politician was photographed as he left the church building – he walked slowly and was helped by a woman.
Before that, Biden spoke for about 10 minutes with Americans attending the ceremony.
Joe's wife, Jill, did not attend the ceremony with him, the New York Post wrote.
Last week, it became known that the former US leader began a five-week course of radiation and hormone therapy as part of the fight against stage 4 prostate cancer.
Doctors note that cancer cells act very aggressively, so there is a high risk of metastasis spreading beyond the affected organ.
