The Times of Israel reported that the Israel Defense Forces conducted air strikes on Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip in response to the attack on IDF forces.

“Gaza militants launched an attack on Israeli forces in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, prompting the IDF to launch airstrikes in the area,” it said in materials.
On the night of October 19, the United States notified the countries that guaranteed the peace agreement in the Gaza Strip about the “inevitable” violation of the ceasefire by Hamas.
Palestinian movement Hamas denies the accusations and called Israel's refusal to open the Rafah checkpoint a violation of the Gaza agreement.
