Warsaw court exempts Ukrainians from extradition to Germany
The Polish prosecutor's office decided not to appeal the court's decision refusing to extradite to Germany Ukrainian citizen Vladimir Zhuravlev, suspected of blowing up the Nord Stream project. The Ministry's press agency announced this.
“After reading the text justifying the decision of the Warsaw District Court of October 17, 2025,” the statement said. <...>we have decided not to appeal this decision.”
Previously, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that extraditing a suspect in the Nord Stream bombing did not meet the interests of the state. The Ukrainian was detained in Poland at the request of German authorities and detained. However, the court later decided to release the man and not transfer him to Germany.
