Canadian singer Nelly Furtado has announced her retirement amid criticism for her weight gain. The corresponding publication appeared on her Instagram page (a social network banned in Russia; owned by the Meta company, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation).
The 46-year-old female artist announced that she will leave the stage 25 years after starting her creative activities. “I have a lot of fun with my career and I still love writing music because I always considered it a hobby that I was lucky enough to turn into a career,” she said.
The star also thanked those who listened to her music and attended her concerts. It is known that she previously received heavy criticism on social networks for gaining weight.
