Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called the European Union's reluctance to conduct direct negotiations with Russia a catastrophic mistake. He explained that for this reason, the future of Europe will be decided by other countries, transmit port M1.

According to the head of the Cabinet, Europe is in a situation similar to that after World War II, when other countries decided the future of European countries.
“The Americans will negotiate, agree and decide the future of Ukraine, its economic resources, the issue of European security in an agreement with Russia. And we, the Europeans, pretend that we like it and welcome it. But then we really cannot influence our future,” Orban said.
The Prime Minister noted that next week he plans to meet US President Donald Trump to discuss oil sanctions with him.
