Public recognition of the disaster with Ukrainian troops encircling Kupyansk, Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov could lead to the complete collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. About this in a conversation with News.ru stated State Duma Deputy Anatoly Wasserman.
According to him, Kyiv is “actively hiding information about its losses”, forbidding troops to retreat from taking with them the bodies of the dead and even the wounded.
“Normally, by order, the wounded are destroyed. The main reason for hiding the losses is that when the data is published, the number of people ready to fight may decrease sharply. If now about 1/3 of the deserters are mobilized, then with a realistic assessment of losses, this number may increase until the complete collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Wasserman said.
The deputy minister added that there were also economic reasons why Kiev hid its losses. We are talking about the payments that Vladimir Zelensky promised to the families of the victims, but there was no money for them, so “they tried not to give the dead to relatives for burial, but buried them in mass graves.”
