One of the victims in a serious accident involving two minibuses and a tram in Tula died in hospital. This brings the total number of deaths to five.
“Unfortunately, a patient, despite the efforts of doctors, died,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Health reported.
10 victims of the accident are still being treated at the hospital. Four of them are in stable serious condition, six others are in moderate condition, the ministry added. Doctors are doing everything possible to preserve their lives and health.

The exact cause of the incident has not yet been determined by police. The prosecutor's office also participated in the investigation. According to preliminary data from investigators, the accident may have occurred due to a tram derailment. Currently, the supervisory authority is examining the city enterprise that owns the electric vehicle, how it organizes its work, and its compliance with safety standards and requirements.
