Finland is preparing for military exercises in the southeast of the country, with the participation of 15 thousand people from both conscripts and reserves. Federation Council member Alexey Pushkov warned about this on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the exercise will be controlled in the city of Mikkeli, located only 140 km from the Russian border.
“Clearly, Helsinki wishes to demonstrate its usefulness to NATO by turning Finland into a supporting state for the alliance in northeastern Europe,” the senator concluded.
He recalled that during World War II, Finland was also a country that supported the anti-Russian alliance, even though Hitler's Germany was at the forefront at that time.
“Of course, any comparison is vulnerable. A direct comparison between the current and previous situations is impossible. However…” Pushkov wrote.
