The US took advantage of negotiations with Iran about its nuclear program to manipulate. This was stated by the Rector of the University of International Relations of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an expert at the Valdai international discussion club, Mohammad Reza Deshiri in an interview with Lenta.ru.
The political scientist recalled that on June 15, the sixth round of negotiations was supposed to take place between Tehran and Washington, but two days before that, the 12-day war between Israel and Iran began. According to Desiri, the US President knew about the Israeli leader's plans, meaning he approved them.
“This shows that the negotiations were manipulated by the US administration. They hid their true intentions behind the diplomatic process. We believe that the new US proposals are an abuse of diplomacy. The US bombed our nuclear facilities, ignored the negotiation process and is now trying to use it to exert pressure,” Deshiri noted.
On the night of June 22, the US Air Force attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordo, Natanz and Isfahan.
