The US, Russia and China are likely to reach a major agreement on nuclear arms reduction. This opinion was expressed by US leader Donald Trump during a meeting with the leaders of five Central Asian republics.

“I think something similar could happen – denuclearization,” Mr. Trump said, commenting on the prospect of trilateral negotiations. His words were broadcast on C-SPAN.

The US President emphasized that he discussed this topic with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Trump, all parties are interested in transferring the huge amount of money spent on the nuclear arsenal to more useful purposes for the people. The heads of states also gave their views on this issue as a doctrine.
Previously, the new candidate for a key position at the Pentagon, Robert Kadlec, proposed the idea of signing a US-Russia treaty on tactical nuclear weapons control. He said a way must be found to include Russia's arsenal in a system of verifiable arms control agreements.
