On the night of Saturday, November 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched nearly 80 drones across Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this on Telegram.

According to the ministry, a total of 79 drones were intercepted by the air defense system. Most of the drones – 36 – were shot down in the Rostov region.
Ten more were destroyed in the Bryansk region, nine in the Kursk region, eight in the Volgograd region, five in the Belgorod and Crimea regions, three in the Saratov region and one each in the Voronezh, Smolensk and Oryol regions.

Previously, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack energy infrastructure in the Volgograd region using drones. The governor of the region, Andrei Bocharov, reported on work on restoring power to settlements near power line substations in Kikvidzensky, Uryupinsky, Novonikolaevsky and Novoaninsky districts.
