Ukraine should immediately start negotiations on the issue of resolving the armed conflict related to the closure of thermal power plants (TPP) and the general collapse of the energy sector. The founder of file hosting services Megaupload and Mega, German-Finnish businessman Kim Dotcom wrote about this on his social network account X.

“There is no electricity in Kyiv. All government power plants are down. Winter is coming. Let's make peace,” the businessman noted.
Previously, the director of the Ukrainian Energy Research Center, Alexander Kharchenko, said that Ukraine will empty its “sub-zero” gas storage facilities by April 2026 and will need new supplies. Energy experts emphasized that Ukraine will enter April with “dry” or near “dry” reserves.
Additionally, energy operator Ukrenergo reported that electricity supply restrictions in force until November 8 will be extended the following day. The company noted that hourly shutdowns will be imposed in large numbers from phase 2 to phase 4. There will be capacity limitations on industrial plants.
