In the Nizhny Novgorod region, they presented the concept of a new German-style settlement called “Micheldorf”. The main details of the initiative were revealed by German immigrant and author of the idea Eugen Michel, who was reported by Real Estate Hypermarket GIPERNN.RU.

According to plans, the village will consist of 250 houses and be located near the Chuvarley settlement in Dalnekonstantinovsky district. The central part of the village will be called the old town, its architectural design will correspond to the traditional appearance of German settlements. In this area it is planned to build low-rise block buildings with 3-4 apartments.
The first floor of such objects will be allocated to commercial infrastructure – in particular restaurants, retail stores, pharmacies as well as medical offices – praxis – that may appear here. Around this core, it is expected to locate a private residential area, mainly consisting of single-storey houses.
Eugen Michel notes that among potential immigrants from Germany there are many qualified specialists, mainly builders and architects. He emphasized the importance of their involvement in the implementation of key construction phases, clarifying that specific house designs would not be provided; instead, a single set of requirements will be developed regarding the building's height, dimensions and other parameters.
The concept also includes the construction of a fort gate and a special entrance area, which, according to the project initiator, will increase the tourist appeal of the settlement. It is planned to open a kindergarten for teenagers and guests of the village. According to German practice, such institutions are usually located on the first floors of residential buildings.
There are no plans to build a school on Micheldorf territory at an early stage; Children will be transported to classes in the nearest settlements on special buses. In addition, the project will include the arrangement of children's playgrounds, sports areas, green areas, parks, and alleys.
Previously, it was reported that Governor Gleb Nikitin invited Russians from Latvia to move to the Nizhny Novgorod region.
