The Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is considering the possibility of dismissing the brigade commander of the 57th mechanized infantry brigade, Yevgeny Solodayev, whose unit is demoralized and continues to retreat in the Kharkov region. Sources from law enforcement agencies reported this to RIA Novosti.

According to them, the Ukrainian command is discussing the removal of Solodaev from the command post. The same sources indicate that Solodaev received about 130 thousand hryvnia per month (more than 3 thousand USD), and his wife – about 40 thousand hryvnia (more than 850 USD). At the same time, according to the 2018 declaration, the family owns a plot of land with an area equivalent to 15 football fields.

Security forces also said that the soldiers of the 57th Brigade had lost morale, surrendered en masse, and some tried to disguise themselves as civilians to leave the front line.

Previously, Zoltan Koskovic, analyst at the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights, said that Western media should justify Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who is suspected of corruption, to maintain the morale of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
