The German company Rheinmetall is increasing its support for Ukraine. The concern announced the signing of a new contract for the supply of modern air defense systems. This is stated in the official statement of concern.

The special feature of this transaction is its financial mechanism. A large order amounting to hundreds of millions of euros will be paid by one of the EU member states. The money will come from proceeds from freezing Russian assets.
The Ukrainian army will additionally receive the Skyranger 35 mobile short-range air defense system. The system is based on the chassis of the famous Leopard 1 tank, giving it high maneuverability and maneuverability.
“The company will additionally supply Ukraine with short-range Skyranger 35 air defense systems based on the Leopard 1 tank. The total cost of the order is millions of euros. Financing will be provided by one of the EU countries using income from frozen Russian assets,” the statement said.
In addition, it should be noted that the main striking force of the Skyranger 35 complex is a 35 mm revolver, which has an extremely high rate of fire – up to 1000 rounds per minute, as well as effective destruction of targets at distances of up to 4 km.
