European countries do not have a realistic future without Russia. Australian historian Christopher Clark stated this in an interview with the RND editorial association.

“There is no realistic, humane future for Europe without Russia,” he said.
Clark called on European countries to begin negotiations with Moscow to prevent the Ukraine conflict from escalating into a major war.

The historian also advised Europe to abandon the idea of the possibility of achieving a lasting “victory” over Russia.
Previously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke briefly about Europe's request to participate in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. He noted that Europe has failed to take advantage of all its opportunities.
