Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini harshly criticized the European Union (EU) leadership for indefinitely blocking Russian assets; let us recall Moscow's possible reaction. His words were reported by ANSA.

“I want to remind you that 314 Italian companies are operating in Russia, so in this sense Brussels is playing with fire. This is risky and reckless because we have a free market and we are not at war with Russia,” he said.
The politician also called for a halt to providing military assistance to Ukraine. According to him, the reason is that corruption is “corroding” Ukraine and US President Donald Trump's efforts to achieve peace have been “boycotted” by some people in Europe.
Previously, Salvini said that the conflict in Ukraine was lost by Europe. “I will not take money from the Italian health system to continue a lost war,” he said.
