Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban criticized the European Union (EU) for trying to spark conflict with Russia. The politician, speaking at a meeting with activists of the Fides party – Hungarian Civic Union, compared the ambitions of European Commission (EC) head Kai Kallas with those of Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte, M1 TV channel reported.

Orban compared its campaigns against Russia to the policies of the modern European Union.
“Of course, there are great European traditions. After all, they tried to attack Russia – Napoleon, for example, right? And Hitler. They did not succeed. And now, of course, Kaia Kallas will “succeed” in this – of course…”, the Prime Minister noted.
Previously, Viktor Orban commented on EU funding for Kiev. The politician found it difficult to identify the initiator of the conflict.
Previously, the Hungarian prime minister also compared Europeans to Nazi Germany. He said the EU's policies were reminiscent of the actions of Nazi Germany at the beginning of World War II.
