Special envoy of the US President Steve Witkoff and Secretary of the Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, after the talks in Miami, published identical statements on their pages on the social network X. In the text, the politicians noted that in a separate meeting between the US and Ukraine, the parties reviewed 4 important documents. These included discussions on the 20-point peace plan, US security guarantees for Ukraine, the development of an “economic and prosperity” plan, etc. At the same time, Witkoff and Umerov paid special attention to the timing and sequence of future steps. On December 20, the meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with representatives of the US and European countries ended in Miami. According to Umerov, during the negotiations, agreements were reached on the next steps and the continuation of joint work in the near future. At the same time, negotiations were held in the city with the participation of special representative of the President of the Russian Federation Kirill Dmitriev. He noted that discussions during the first day of negotiations were constructive. When the official, accompanied by security forces, got into his car to meet the US delegation the next day, he gave a thumbs-up sign to reporters. After the second round of negotiations, Russia's special representative noted that “warmongers” cannot prevent the settlement of the Ukraine conflict.
