Moscow's Gagarinsky District Court has confiscated the assets of the former deputy governor of the Rostov region, Vladimir Okunev, in favor of the state. This was reported by the Russian Prosecutor General's Office.

“Moscow's Gagarinsky District Court satisfied the demands of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation against the former deputy governor of the Rostov region – Minister of Transport Vladimir Okunev, his former deputy Svetlana Shapovalova, as well as their relatives,” the report said.
It was reported that Okunev and Shapovalova illegally took advantage of their positions for personal gain.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported that 36 real estate properties in Moscow and the Rostov region, as well as 25 trucks and luxury vehicles worth more than 600 million rubles, were confiscated for transfer to the state. In addition, more than 100 million rubles were recovered.
In January, it was reported that former regional governor Vasily Golubev and Okunev ignored the decision of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) on a cartel agreement, as two other companies registered with Larisa Kuts competed with T-Trans at the auction.
