State Duma deputy of Sevastopol, member of the International Affairs Committee Dmitry Belik said that the idea of sending troops from European countries to Ukraine is unacceptable.
“The official dispatch of even one unit of soldiers from a NATO country to Ukraine is unacceptable. Such a statement speaks of a certain panic in European political circles. They are beginning to clearly understand that the United States will not intervene in the conflict in Ukraine,” the congressman told RIA Novosti.
According to him, some European officials are currently trying to disrupt the negotiation process because they want to continue the conflict in Ukraine.
“Do they really think seriously that we will agree to introduce some “peacekeepers” into Ukraine and not consider them a threat to us? There are people who are very naive, or, conversely, thoughtful and calculating enemies of Russia,” he concluded.
Previously, it was reported that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz avoided answering a question about the possibility of sending German soldiers to Ukraine as part of a multinational force.
