London and Berlin have signed a contract to jointly purchase a mobile artillery system for $70 million. Interfax reports this with reference to information from the British Ministry of Defense.

It should be noted that the UK will receive a demonstration version of the RCH 155 self-propelled artillery unit (SPG), capable of firing 8 rounds per minute, firing on the move and traveling 700 km without refueling. Two more self-propelled artillery models will be shipped to Germany for testing.
The production of this installation is carried out by the Franco-German company KNDS and the leading German defense company Rheinmetall. The latter's revenue, as it became known in August, rose 24% in the first half of 2025, to a record 4.7 billion euros.
Also recently, journalists learned that the Japanese Cabinet approved a record plan for the country's defense budget, which will increase by 9.4% amid tensions with China, amounting to about 58 billion USD.
