At St. Petersburg, during the demolition of the VNIIB building, one of the excavators overturned. This was reported by the Telegram channel “112”.
The equipment remains in a lying position but dismantling work at the site continues. There was no recorded presence of emergency services at the location.
There were no reports of casualties. The cause of the incident is still being determined.
Demolition of the VNIIB building began on January 8. The press wrote that local activists tried to stop the demolition of the construction site: some people climbed on construction equipment. As a result, police arrested at least 11 protesters.
