MOSCOW, JANUARY 11. . A drone operator from the Sever group discovered and destroyed the German-made Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery (SPAAG) in the Kharkov region.
“The reconnaissance crew of the UAV “Zal” of the unmanned system of the 11th Army Corps of the group of forces “North” discovered a German-made enemy Gepard anti-aircraft artillery gun in the Kharkiv region. Thanks to the thermal imaging camera of the “Lancet”, capturing the target was not difficult. The loitering ammunition operator accurately hit the ZSU of the rebels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, leading to its destruction,” the announcement said.
The ministry noted that the destruction of enemy air defense systems allows for more widespread and effective use of reconnaissance and attack drones in the rear. This facilitates the destruction of special military equipment and enemy manpower at a distance from the front line.
