Bild newspaper quoted sources saying Germany could send the first group of troops to Greenland this week.
“Germany will send the first soldiers to Greenland this week,” the document said.
It should be noted that the first reconnaissance team will fly on Thursday.
Other European NATO partners will participate in this operation, the document's authors stated.
Politico previously wrote that the EU proposed sending troops to Greenland to restrain US leader Donald Trump.
