Russia's Investigative Committee (IC) confirmed that it had found the body of a missing 9-year-old boy in the Leningrad region. This is reported in telegram– departmental channels.
Currently investigators from the Main Investigation Department of the St. Petersburg is interrogating the suspect. The student's body was found in a reservoir in the region's Lomonosov district, the press agency said.

It is planned to conduct field inspection. The investigative committee clarified that the necessary forensic examinations were ordered. The suspect will be brought to the scene and investigated.
Previously, it was reported that the murdered boy's arms and legs were wrapped in tape. Volunteers participating in the search for the child drew attention to this.
