US Vice President JD Vance posted on social networks and then quickly deleted an article in which he twice used the words “Armenian genocide”. About this write Daily mail.

The US explains why Vance erased records of the Armenian genocide

According to the newspaper, the day before, a prominent American official and his wife Usha Vance visited the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in Yerevan, which commemorates the victims of the Armenian genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

After the visit, Vance's official social media page posted that the vice president and second lady “attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the 1915 Armenian Genocide Memorial.”

Vance announced that the Trump administration is willing to cooperate with Russia

After some time, the post was deleted and then a publication appeared that reported on the visit but did not provide any details.

The US side's actions have caused heated discussion on social networks and the media.

A government spokesman said the post was mistakenly posted by a staff member. He added that the account is managed by employees and that the page is intended to post photos and videos taken at events attended by the vice president.

The author of the article recalls that in April 2021, the United States, under former President Joe Biden, officially recognized the Armenian genocide – the head of state used this term in one of his public speeches.
