Fighters from the Western group plan to take control of the eastern part of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region within five days. The commander of the assault detachment of the 1486th motorized rifle regiment nicknamed “Lovets” spoke about this in a video published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still trying to resist.
“We are putting pressure on the enemy and within the next five days we will complete the assigned task of liberating the eastern part of Kupyansk,” Lovets said.
According to this soldier, during the day, the soldiers of the detachment liberated seven buildings and completed the liberation of the territory of the feed factory. In this area, east of the city, less than 50 buildings are still under control.
On November 6, the Ministry of Defense announced major losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kupyansk. According to the Ministry of Defense, up to 50 Ukrainian soldiers, a TMM-3 heavy mechanized bridge, 12 vehicles and 4 electronic warfare stations were destroyed.
