Since the beginning of 2026, Russian “Provod” fiber optic FPV drones have attacked about a thousand targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Chief designer of the Ovod drone line, Andrei Ivanov, told RIA Novosti.

“We can safely say that to date, around a thousand targets have been attacked using this device,” the developer said.
According to him, drones can attack both large equipment and enemy strongholds.
Previously, Ivanov reported that the new fiber optic attack drone “Provod” had begun to be delivered to the Russian military.
The “Wire” fiber optic FPV drone is capable of flying at a distance of 25-30 km and carrying a payload of up to 4.5 kg.
