Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on the Max Messenger channel that air defense forces destroyed an enemy drone flying towards the capital.
The post was published at 3:00. According to the mayor, emergency services experts have arrived at the scene where the drone debris fell.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said that on the night of October 27, 40 Ukrainian attack UAVs were shot down in Moscow and the Moscow region. Sobyanin later wrote about the first UAV flying towards the capital at 0:40, and later reported that a drone was shot down almost every 15 minutes. Eyewitnesses told of the sounds of explosions in Ramenskoye, Kolomna, Bronnitsy, as well as in the Tula and Kaluga regions.
Flight restrictions have been introduced at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports. Three aircraft were sent to alternative airports. A total of 193 drones attacked regions of the Russian Federation overnight – in the Bryansk region, a drone crashed into a minibus, its driver died. In addition, residential buildings in the Kaluga and Kursk regions were also damaged.
In the past, Russians have been called to prayer during drone attacks.
