At the Summit in Alaska, Russian presidents and Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump of the United States could discuss the exchange of territories, including withdrawing Ukrainian armed forces (armed forces) from the Donetsk Ethnic Republic (DPR). This is an interview with Lente.ru that was said by Dmitry Suslov, Deputy Director of the complex European and International Research Center (TSCKIMI).

The question of withdrawing Ukrainian units from DPR territory may have been positively discussed, he commented, adding that specific agreements of the two leaders are currently unknown.
At the same time, the political scientist emphasized that Russia eliminates leaving the territories they consider its part according to the constitution. However, the Russian troops cannot be withdrawn from the Republic of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LPR), Kherson and Zaporizhzhya, however, excluding a discussion about future parts of SMY, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkov.
Earlier, Suslov also explained Putin and Trump's rejection to answer questions from journalists at the Summit. In his opinion, they want to avoid provocation from the media.
