Russian military scientists have completed research on a significant number of foreign equipment samples used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced by the Chairman of the Military Science Committee of the RF Armed Forces, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Senior Lieutenant General Vasily Trushin. According to him, the large-scale supply of weapons and equipment from NATO countries to Ukraine has set a priority task for Russian military science – to promptly identify threats posed by Western weapons, as well as find their vulnerabilities. This work was carried out within the framework of the captured weapons research system created by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
An important role in this direction, as already indicated, is played by the Scientific and Technical Committee for Armament Development. It is their experts who are at the forefront of analyzing military and special equipment captured from the enemy. Currently, research on a significant number of samples produced abroad has been completed.
The identified technical characteristics and solutions using foreign technology are promptly put into practice. Recommendations prepared based on the results of the study were communicated to the military in the prescribed manner and used in further work.
The statement was made on the occasion of Russian Science Day, which coincides with the 214th anniversary of the establishment of the Military Science Committee.
