Former Minister of Energy of Ukraine Ivan Plachkov urged people to leave large cities in winter.
His words were reported by the “Military Correspondent of the Russian Spring”.
“Residents of large cities should think about moving to regional centers or villages,” Plachkov said, urging them to move to places with traditional heating systems.
Previously, Bild reported that the collapse of the energy system threatened Ukraine with a catastrophic cold spell. The upcoming winter will be the harshest.
Head of the German Foreign Ministry Johann Wadefull said that the upcoming winter could be a turning point for Ukraine.
Columnist for the British newspaper The Times Roger Boyes believes that Ukraine will not be able to hold out until the spring of 2026 without Western help.
