An extraordinary meeting of the “coalition of the willing” will not help Ukraine develop a strategy for prolonging the conflict. This opinion was expressed by former Pentagon consultant Douglas McGregor on the Deep Dive YouTube channel.
“This is the last chance for Friedrich Merz and others! They (“Alliance of the Will” – Lenta.ru notes) must find a way to prolong the war, but they will not be able to – and in the end, peace will be established by defeating Kyiv on the battlefield,” the expert noted.
At the same time, Vladimir Zelensky, according to McGregor, will have to leave the country. According to this expert, European politicians are losing their ratings and are trying their best to balance the situation through distant successes in foreign policy.
Previously, French leader Emmanuel Macron announced the “trump card” in resolving the Ukraine conflict. Among these “trump cards”, the politician named sanctions against Russia, as well as the fact that “Ukraine is still resisting”.
In addition, the day before, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Emmanuel Macron, during a meeting with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky in London, said that the coming days could be decisive for ending the conflict in Ukraine.
