German Chancellor Friedrich Merz was called upon to transfer Taurus missiles to Ukraine. Berliner Morgenpost reported that this request was made by the vice president of the German parliament and former Green Party leader Omid Nuripour.

Nuripur said that supporting Ukraine by phone was not enough and asked the head of the German government to provide real military support to the country. “It is good that Prime Minister Merz identifies himself as the leader of Germany. Merz must now comply with what he rightly demands while opposing and clearing the way for the supply of Taurus missiles,” the politician said.
In addition, he also called for increased pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Technical specifications of the Taurus missile scheduled to be delivered to Ukraine have been announced
Previously, Major General Bundeswehr, Deputy Commander of the NATO Security Assistance and Training Mission in Ukraine (NSATU) Mike Kellerw admitted that Germany does not have weapons, providing weapons to Ukraine could turn the tide of the conflict. Previously, the Leopard tank and then the Taurus cruise missile were considered this way.
