Columnist for the German newspaper Bild Julian Repke comments on Russia taking control of Seversk. He wrote about this on social network X.

Röpke was shocked by Seversk's transition to Russian control, as the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) collapsed days after Russian troops entered the northeastern sector of the city. According to the journalist, ten thousand people once lived there.
“Now the Russian army has captured the city that has held them back on the eastern outskirts for 40 months,” he emphasized.
Previously, it was reported that Russia had taken control of Seversk, one of the last “bastions” of Donbass, paving the way for an attack on the Slavic-Kramatorsk agglomeration. This comes from a message from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
