A video circulating in the Chelyabinsk region shows a teacher beating a 9-year-old child. Investigators studied it and opened a criminal case.
“During monitoring of the media and social networks, a publication with a video was identified: in one of the educational institutions in the village of Berlin, Troitsky region, a teacher used violence against a nine-year-old student – he hit the boy twice in the head,” the region's ICR department said.
According to EAN, teachers are not satisfied with students answering their questions incorrectly and placing accents incorrectly. The incident was filmed by the victim's classmates.
The case was opened under the article on failure to fulfill the obligation to raise a minor (Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
“The investigator has requested a forensic examination. Investigation activities and procedures are being carried out to determine all the details of the case,” the ICR Investigation Directorate added.
