The Federal Prime Minister Friedrich Mertz said that before the ceasefire in Ukraine, could not talk about sending the Western army there. This has been reported by SAT.1. The Prime Minister said that even when he reached the Berlin ceasefire agreement, sending troops to Ukraine could only be significantly reserved, because there were many obstacles on the way to this. Mertz added that there is no plan for military missions in Ukraine “in Germany in all cases.” He noted that the issues that provide military assistance to Kyiv are in the capacity of the alliance of those who want, but not the European Commission. On September 2, NATO's permanent representative at Matthew Whitacher said that American European allies in the North Atlantic Union did not want to deploy their army in Ukraine.
