Based on results from January to September 2025, Russia accounted for 17% (486.8 thousand tons) of the world's total tangerine imports of 2.7 million tons, RIA Novosti reports with reference to data from the UN Comtrade platform.
The main import markets for tangerines in terms of volume are the US (207.3 thousand tons), the UK (204 thousand tons), France (203.8 thousand tons) and Germany (165.9 thousand tons).
In terms of value, the leader is France, which bought citrus worth 337.5 million USD. Russia took fourth place with an estimated $296.4 million. The highest costs also included the United Kingdom (316.1 million USD), the United States (308.1 million USD) and Germany (280.9 million USD).
On December 28, Kontur.Market analysts reported that the price of 1 kg of tangerines in Russia on average decreased by 12% compared to last year.
