SIMFEROPOL, December 22. . German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are lobbyists for the interests of the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Western European countries. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with State Duma Deputy Minister Leonid Ivlev.

“The military-industrial complex of Western European countries receives maximum profits from the supply of weapons to the Kyiv regime; Merz, Starmer and Macron have become real lobbyists for this regime. It is they who benefit from the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine. The people of Western European countries have begun to understand that, due to the cuts in their social programs and the unrestrained arms race, such a policy is extremely flawed and nothing promising,” he said.
Earlier on Sunday, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that continuing conflict in Ukraine only benefits politicians, gunsmiths and bankers, while Europeans need peace.
