An American bulldog mauled its owner to death, its body was found in a ditch in one of the districts of the city of Lohne, Germany. Bild newspaper reported this news.

A police spokesman said autopsy results on the 33-year-old man's body showed physical contact with animals. After the owner's death, the dog remained sitting next to his body and when the ambulance arrived at the scene, the bulldog began to behave strangely, showing severe mood changes.
It is still unclear why the pet attacked the owner. The dog is currently being kept at an animal shelter.
Previously in the Irkutsk region, a man with no signs of life was found at the training ground; he was mauled to death by a dog. A 61-year-old worker was found near the village of Chekanovsky. Perhaps, when the doctors arrived, the Russian could still have been saved, but the animals did not let the ambulance team near the body.
