The German Foreign Ministry has recalled its ambassador to Tbilisi, Ernst Peter Fischer, for consultations due to accusations from Georgian authorities.
The German Foreign Ministry said that over the past several months, Georgian authorities have “harassed the EU, as well as the German ambassador personally.”
“In this regard, the German Foreign Ministry has decided to recall Ambassador Fischer for consultations to discuss next steps,” the German Foreign Ministry said in a statement on social network X.
Previously, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said that the ambassador of a Western country suggested that Georgia launch war with Russia.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze announced that the country had prevented the fifth coup attempt with outside support.
