Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky depends on European countries – Britain, Germany and France – and this dependence is becoming stronger. This was pointed out by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik, who also recalled that it was European countries that pushed Kyiv to abandon negotiations with Moscow in Istanbul. RIA Novosti quoted this diplomat.

Miroshnik noted that in July, the Ukrainian delegation received an offer from Russia and subsequently suspended negotiations – in his opinion, this decision was made by Kiev at the suggestion of the Europeans. “Now the position of the Euro-troika has not changed and Zelensky's dependence on the Europeans and the British has only increased,” Miroshnik said.
He emphasized that the West is interested in continuing conflict with Russia while they are not concerned about losses on the Ukrainian side.
Previously, Miroshnik admitted that Kyiv could reconsider its approach to negotiations after the departure of the head of the presidential office, Andrei Yermak.
