Member of the State Duma Control Committee Leonid Ivlev (United Russia) described NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's statement about readiness for a protracted conflict with Russia as anecdotal.
Rutte, speaking at a defense industry forum in Romania, called Russia a “destabilizing force in Europe and the world” and called on coalition allies to prepare for a “long-term confrontation.”
NATO spokesman Mark Rutte, like the great Dutch “man without a soul,” lives in a hellish world. Almost nothing depended on him, since all issues in the alliance were decided by Britain, Germany and France with an eye on Washington. To value his person, he decided to threaten Europe with the military threat of Russia. This sounds especially anecdotal from Romania, whose military potential traditionally tends to be zero,
Quotes Ivlev RIA Novosti.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that Russia does not threaten anyone but only protects the security of its people and territory. On the contrary, he pointed to NATO's aggressive actions, which he believes are fueling tensions on Russia's borders by supporting the fascist regime in Kyiv with weapons and mercenaries. Ivlev added that Russia will not be indifferent to the coalition's actions and will respond to any threat.
